Birthday Money Haul

I have made a return to the shops this week after a long, long January!
It was my birthday on Tuesday so I spent the day in Leeds with mummie dearest for lunch, a date with Leo’s Wolf of Wall Street and…
TOPSHOP for their pink fluffy swing coat (I’ve had my eye on this since I saw Lucy Beale on Eastenders modelling it across ‘The Square) The amazing Soap Style website helped me work out where it was from
CHANEL for my first bottle of Chanel
No5
RIVER ISLAND for their flattering black cold shoulder pencil dress – can’t wait to wear it on my birthday night out with the girlies tomorrow!

Have a great payday weekend everyone 🎀

I have discovered Victoria’s Secret…

…it’s that the best time to shop in her stores is in January! I was pleased to pick up an Angel Dream set (mist, lotion, gel) reduced from £36 to £18 and a cute little lipgloss down to £5. Angel Dream smells lovely, I’m a fan of Warm & Cosy by Pink at VS and this is a similar delicate scent.
Next on my hit list was River Island where I exchanged a top and picked up some sweet pink gloves and a few basic vests.
Standard visit to Boots for a scan of the remaining sales pieces saw me purchase a Joules notepad for work (and lots of Cadbury’s Wishes chocs reduced to 20p – but let’s not go there).
Have a great weekend everyone!

Shoes Shoes Shoes

Ahhh, the pretty shoes I’ve bought in the last few months (I’m addicted to taking pics of them).

It’s a little embarrassing that I’ve only worn one pair so far (the sparkly Cinderella ones ofcourse) as I’ve been in flats and my faithful nude peeptoes over the Summer. I’m sure they’ll get their wear over the Winter party-season though!

Well I’m…

…almost at the end of a lovely week off. My plans for this evening have fallen through so I used the cash I’d saved to pop into town for a few essentials ( the essentials were meant to be marigolds and washing up liquid – oopsie).

I’m usually loyal to MAC Studio Fix NC41 but find that Bourjois Healthy mix 55 is a great low-cost alternative, I tend to use this for work and keep my MAC for best. I’m not convinced about the Hm pressed powder though, has anyone tried it?

I’ll report back on MUA’s Undressed palette; it’s been reported as being similar to urban decay, which I use frequently so we will see – can’t go wrong really at £4!

I actually picked up my NAILS INC polishes earlier in the week, I’m so so impressed with Chelsea Square – I’d compare it to SHELLAC Rockstar – but with the bonus of being able to remove (reasonably) easily at home. Burlington Arcade is a good silver sparkle, although isn’t quite as exciting as I’d expected – I’m all Chelsea Square’d this week though so will feed back on Ba when I’ve tried it next week

PALMOLIVE’s Diamond Jubilee Ltd Edition Damask & Musk is a bargain-buy handwash, it smells divine! Very close to Jo Malone and fab for me as I am so OCD about hand washing

My piece de resistance is my lovely, pretty, amazing new pink camera, ahhhh love love love! I’d read so many reviews and finally decided on the SAMSUNG  St66, I did have to also invest in a mini-memory card as it only takes the tiny ones but it’s a great upgrade from my old battered camera, which has been dropped on more nights out than I care/or can remember 🙂 My newbie will be tested out at a music festival this weekend – I love capturing social occasions and have been lost without a fully functioning cam!

Well that’s all for now have a great weekend everyone Xx

Once upon a time…

… there was a  material girl, she lived happily in a first floor apartment on a quiet cul-de-sac and when she wasn’t busy working she would shop ’til she dropped.

She would buy homewares, beauty products, clothes, shoes, bags…

She would often shop in the best store in town whilst being quite as happy hunting bargains….
